The Vision, Graphics and Computational Design (VGD) Group, led by Prof. Sai-Kit Yeung at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, is engaged in innovative research on various aspects of 3D content reconstruction, modeling, understanding, and redesign. The group makes use of AI techniques to enhance design and content generation, human-robot interaction, and novel algorithms for VR and AR applications. In addition, the group works closely with marine biologists, field ecologists, and coral conservationists to develop advanced computer vision and graphics techniques and systems that address various marine-related issues.

This cloud-based video analysis platform is devised and developed AI analysis of surveying or diving videos. The platform allows experts to provide and correct data annotations while serving as a central database for storing marine videos obtained from different users. Users can access, visualize, study and provide information to the visual data.
